Update

Secret Admirer-
Sometimes, there is a gap between what we want and what we can do, that was what happened to me last week.

I admit I am bit mean, but obviously I also overestimated my productivity. After spending two hours learning from a Japanese website about origami, I gave up. I did successfully made a duck, although what I really wanted was a crane……

So that's pretty much what happen, after that disappointing attempt, I went straightly to the store, bought a box of chocolate and
stuck it on her door after midnight.

Fortunately my admirer is much better than me, left is what I got.

Halloween-
Well, there was a party, and I missed it. So there is little to say.

But seeing pictures from friends, I definitely feel great regard for not being in there, it was so fun!

Study-
Two weeks to go, that's all.

But here are some funny phrases we use these days, especially before exam, to encourage each other. It's a good way to relax. In case you are interested. Some call it Chinglish, I call it: English with Chinese characteristics

1.Good Good Study, Day Day Up
2.Add Oil
3.No Go No See
4.Give Back Colour

Anyone know what they mean?

To my dear friend ……

"life is difficulty in a foreign country, but that's precisely what makes us unique.

We suffer, We endure, We conquer! Every obstacle in our lives is a test, pass it, we learn; fail, we do it again! Being in another culture, the real learning is a process of self-rediscovery, asking the questions we have never asked before: What we are, Where we from, Why we are here. There are no right answers, only our own answers, find them, we find our sense of purpose. We are in a place where horizon lies, home afar, standing together we are; leaving past glories behind, day in, day out, we are achieving what we have never imaged before. I am with you."

There are always times when we retreat, feel depressed, doubt ourselves, yet at the end of the day, here we stand, again, forever……

Admire her, secretly

Do not get me wrong, I have not have a girl in my mind YET. But here is how things go--"you will be secretly admiring XXX."

Welcome to Secret Admires Week!

Since this thing has become our daily dinner table topic this week, I feel obligated to report my progress, and events.

A little background information first. This is probably the last hostel event for the year. Everyone in our hostel is allocated to a person that he or she is going to secretly admire. Yeah, you got it right, the person is allocated! I am not making any choice here! Worse, the girl allocated to me has a boyfriend, and I am supposed to put flowers and chocolates outside her door!

Tricky eh!?

Shall I go ahead?
It's just for fun, right?(is that why it should be a secret?)

But there is another problem, I do not want to spend any money on this! I mean, I am just a poor student, so it's better to make something myself rather than buy chocolate.

Anyway, this is what I am doing right now, producing gifts!
